In July 2003 they attended a symposium of Ninteenth century German song at Westminster Choir college of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey. the symposium was built around master classes on the works of Schubert, Schumann and Wolf. Paré and Clodfelter participated in daily master classes with renowned pianist and vocal coach J.J. Penna and mezzo-soprano Lindsay Christiansen. In July 2004 they returned to Princeton to study and perform the works of Wolf, Berg, Mahler, Strauss and Szymanowski.

Pare´and Clodfelter have been described as having "a very special connection and chemistry" when performing together.Their dedication to the art song, particularly German lieder is the center of their recitals.
