Astronomy 103   Spring 2009 Class Schedule

This is a tentative listing of dates and topics. The readings listed are from the text only. For many topics, there will be additional readings outside the text. These will be listed on the weekly schedule, along with more specific details about the text sections. For some very up to date topics, there is little or no reading in the text, and the appropriate readings will be handed out in class. "tba" on the list of text reading indicates most of the reading on that topic will be outside the text. Final weekly schedules will be posted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday of the previous week.   Preliminary versions may be posted earlier, but be sure to check for updates.
