In addition to minor editing to improve readability, to fix typographical errors not caught prior to the release of Analytical Chemistry 2.0, and to respond to suggestions from users, the following changes are included in this edition:
- Math Magic Pro for Adobe InDesign was used to typeset all equations, resolving an incompatibility between Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and MathType that resulted in the failure of some symbol fonts to display properly in pdf files.
- Many illustrations and photographs were reworked, particularly to minimize the reliance on illustrations and photographs from other sources.
- A new appendix was added that lists the atomic weights of elements.
- A solutions manual was completed.
